Meet the Team Abstract Elements Instagram Story (1080 × 1080px)(1).png

Katrina graduated with a Master of Audiology from the University of Canterbury (New Zealand) in 2010. Since then she has worked in a variety of situations, including public, private and university settings in Christchurch, Adelaide and Tauranga. She was part of the New Zealand Audiological Society (NZAS) Executive Council between 2017-2020, and President 2020-2022. Since 2023 she has worked part-time - whilst also working clinically - as the Professional Advisor (for Policy and Practice) for the NZAS, in particular strengthening the professional suite of tools for NZ audiologists and audiometrists (e.g. practice standards, position statements, core competencies, and scope of practice).

Katrina works part-time as she is also organiser, driver and supporter for her 3 sports-loving tweens. Prior to studying audiology Katrina completed a BSc (Psychology and Biology) and a PhD in Psychological Medicine - so she is a self-confessed nerd, who loves learning and working alongside others to learn together. Katrina treasures the privilege of being a part of a person's life, whether through their education journey equipping them with skills for valuable work opportunities, or as part of a clinician-client relationship listening to and working with a person and their communication partner(s) to meet their ear, hearing and balance needs.
